Are you seeking an exhilarating, demanding, and rewarding Christian experience in the outdoors? If so, apply to work on the Christian High Adventure (CHA) staff. This program is sponsored by NC Baptist Men.  Christian High Adventure is a backpacking and adventure recreation program for individuals or groups  ages 14 and up that is accredited by the American Camp Association. Staff members must be college aged young men.  Experience with backpacking or other outdoor recreation is recommended.   

A Christian High Adventure leader is responsible for a group of 10-12 individuals as they venture to the back country for a week of either backpacking or white water rafting.  The purpose of the CHA staff is to relate the Christian experience through the rigors and wonders of each trip in God’s creation. These positions require people with a great sense of responsibility, spiritual maturity, an ability to communicate, and a desire to work on a team. CHA staffers are paid a salary of $190 a week, plus lodging, meals, and insurance at no cost. A week of training for the CHA staffers will be held in the spring. There are eight weeks of CHA camping.
