Deep Impact Youth Mission Camps give students an opportunity to participate in mission projects during the day and grow in the backdrop of a camp experience. Summer missionaries will be a key part of making these weeks a success. This mission opportunity is a ministry sponsored by NC Baptist Men.

 

There are 4 types of positions are available for 6 six summer missionaries with Deep Impact Youth Missions Camp.

 

Summer missionaries will help maintain and run the Deep Impact Camp throughout the summer. The summer missionaries will be hired for 8 weeks at a salary of $200 a week, plus lodging and meals.

 

Position Details

 

Campus Life Coordinator: The Deep Impact Campus Life Coordinator will be responsible for overall on campus experience for the students and leaders who attend each of the Deep Impact locations. Responsibilities will include; coordinating free time recreation, maintain and enhance encourager mail stations, produce the daily campus life activities agendas, and manage the Deep Impact Camp Store. All Deep Impact summer staff will breakdown and set-up for the next week. Position dates: June 7- July 31, 2010. Staff will be required to attend the Summer Missionary Orientation May 23-26, 2010 at Camp Caraway.

 

Children Missions Coordinator: The Deep Impact Children Missions Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of the backyard Bible club and other children related mission teams each week at Deep Impact. This oversight includes training, problem solving, and communication with youth leaders and site coordinators. All Deep Impact summer staff will breakdown and set-up for the next week. Position dates: June 7- July 31, 2010. Staff will be required to attend the Summer Missionary Orientation May 23-26, 2010 at Camp Caraway.   

Supply and Logistics Coordinator: The Deep Impact Supply and Logistic Coordinator will be responsible for staging, equipping, and maintaining daily supplies needed for each mission site during the Deep Impact Mission Camps as well as providing maps and/or directions to team leaders of each mission site. The Supply and Logistics Coordinator must have a valid driver’s license and must be 21 or over in order to operate Convention vehicles needed for this position. Position dates: June 7- July 31, 2010. All Deep Impact summer staff will breakdown and set-up for the next week. Staff will be required to attend the Summer Missionary Orientation May 23-26, 2010 at Camp Caraway.   

 

Red Springs Mission Camp and Deep Impact Support (2 positions available): The Red Springs Mission Camp and Deep Impact Support Summer Missionaries will work at the NC Baptist Men Red Springs Mission Camp all summer. The position will have two purposes; to assist in the overall operation at the mission camp in the duties described below and to assist with the preparation, operation, and follow-up of the 4 Deep Impact events at Red Springs. Mission Camps duties include checking out tools and materials, working with teams, delivering materials, cleaning, mowing grass and other responsibilities as assigned by the Mission Camp Coordinator. The Deep Impact preparation will include mission site preparation, set-up and breakdown of the Deep Impact Camp.  Position dates: June 7- July 31, 2010. Staff will be required to attend the Summer Missionary Orientation May 23-26, 2010 at Camp Caraway.
