Wilmington Association Resort Ministries provide college students a variety of opportunities for ministry. Summer missionaries are found on the beaches, in the campgrounds, in amusement parks, on the piers, and in the local churches. The 10 weeks of ministry begin with a period of orientation. The salary is $1900 ($190 a week), and room and board are provided by the local church.

Desired Skills

• Spiritual Maturity: ability to share the love of the Lord with locals and vacationers in a resort setting; be able to lead devotionals in a campground.
• Children's Ministries: ability to lead Backyard Bible Clubs and relate well to children, or be able to share a children's sermon in a local church.
• Drama and Music: ability to participate in family evening programs through puppetry, clowning, skits or music.
• Recreation Skills: ability to organize children, youth or adult activities.
• Leadership Skills: ability to assist mission youth groups as they serve here.
• Flexibility: ability to handle any change in plans.

This is not a team ministry. Summer missionaries are trained to oversee mission youth groups coming in for brief periods of service. Weekly staff meetings bring all missionaries together.
