The Youth Corps program matches students with local churches whose youth ministries need quality leadership for the important summer months. The 2012 summer program begins on May 27 and goes through August 12.

Students will work under the direction of the pastor and will be responsible for several aspects of youth ministry, such as Bible study, recreation, fellowship, retreats, mission projects, etc. Youth music may also be an option in some places. The job descriptions may include ministry with other groups within the church such as children and senior adults.

 

The salary is $1900 ($190 per week for 10 weeks on the field), plus room and board, which are provided by the local church. Applications are due by December 31, 2011.  Interviews will be held at Camp Caraway, near Asheboro, NC the January 20-21, 2012. In addition, training is provided as a part of the Student Summer Missions Orientation May 27-30, 2012.
